Acoustic Concert Guitar
acoustic and electric guitar in a concert?
is it possible to have a concert in a large place (i.e. an arena or an outdoor concert) where your band has both acoustic and electric guitars? Will the electric guitars drown out the sound of the acoustic ones? Will you be able to do any percussive techniques on the acoustic guitars without the sound being drowned out or sounding messed up? thanks.
oh, and before i get any stupid answers, i’d just like to make clear that yes, the acoustic guitars do will have pickups in them.
if you have both the amps at equal volumes, no the electric guitars will not drown out the acoustics. as for percussive techniques, your guitar pickup may not pick that up. if you want to do percussives, use an instrument mic for that part
