I need step by step instructions how to delete songs from an Apple Ipod mini 4gb and how to personalize it?

I was given a used ipod and I don’t know how to work the thing. I would like to re-personalize with my information and song choices. First, how do I delete unwanted songs, step by step please and then how do I change the information so that it is personalized for me?

To answer your first question, you don’t have to delete you songs from the library to delete it from your iPod. What you want to do is when you plug in your iPod on iTunes, click on your iPod symbol and then there is this box that is checked that says “Manually manage songs”. Well, uncheck that box, and so then it won’t automatically put song you don’t want on them.

Now, onto personalization. If you’re talking about changing the name of your iPod, you just right click on the symbol, then wait a second or two and click it again, and it should enable you to change the name. If you mean playlists, then go to File>New Playlist. Make your playlist and then go back to the iPod section of iTunes and then click the “Music Tab”.
