Apple Ipod Troubleshooting

Apple 5.5G iPod troubleshooting question (click for details)?

ok, so I use my iPod on a frequent basis and often run a full power to no power. The iPod shuts off automatically when there is no power, that I understand. Well this time it shut down and when I went to charge it on my dock stereo, it didnt start up, nor did it display the charging symbol. (It wasnt in hold mode) When I pressed the menu button or the play button, it showed the apple logo briefly followed by a striped bar at the bottom of the screen which gradually faded away.

In any case I restarted the iPod by holding down play and menu buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. It works now, but I would still like to know what happened with my iPod and what that striped bar was all about?

If you run it down to absolutely no power, as in to where it literally shuts down in the middle of a song because it simply has no charge, then even if you immediately plug it in it will take a few minutes for it to begin charging – because the charge was just so low.

Next time when it dies, just plug it in and let it charge up. It will start charging, don’t worry =P

And if it ever seems NOT to work after charging it, reset it like you did, or if that doesn’t work, plug it into iTunes and restore it.
