Learning to Play the Guitar 101 Part 1

Learning to play the guitar can sometimes seem a dauning experience, but it really shouldn’t be! If you are getting ready to learn, I would naturally assume you have already chosen which guitar you wanted to play (if not, maybe you should read the blog post previously posted).
Some people plan ahead of time to learn themself and be
self taught
through resources such as utilizing the internet and places like youtube. And some of you I’m sure wanted to get some kind of professional help with either a one on one teacher or with programs you can buy or order. Now I wouldn’t stress any particular method of learning as better than any other, simply because everyone is different. Your learning abilities may be greater or lesser than other peoples. This is where analizing youself comes in great handy!
Are you the type of person who wants to do something, just goes out and does it without dely? Do you work better with a group or by yourself? Is is easy for you to catch on to things easily? Are you comprehensive? Are you a teachable person, or one that will do exactly the opposite of what someone tells you to do? Are you more interested in creating you own music or learning others?
These are all great questions to ask yourself before either spending money on something you may never use or choosing to go solo and never learning or going anywhere with it.
Another great way to find the best way to get started is to figure out what kind of style you wanted to play the most…
jazz? classical? rock? country
?…doing a little research on the difficulty level on these may lead you rethink going solo or either finding a great program outlined and made to teach you exactly what you want to learn, or maybe a teacher in your area.
