my ipod nano 3 freezes when i connect it to my pc?

my ipod nano 3 freezes when i connect it to my pc, i have to reset it so it gets recognised. this is abit annoying, so is their anyway to fix this problem ?

i’ve had my ipod freeze a couple of times too. usually, i just let the battery drain then it turns itself off. after that, i connect it to the pc to have recharge the batteries.
