How do I set up my epiphone les paul and amp to get that classic les paul sound?

I have a epiphone les paul and want that classic Dire Straits Brothers in Arms kind of sound. I need to know how to set up the guitar and amp is a 30watt vox amp and has a lot of different options on it.
